We purchased four large rockers for our backyard gazebo about 2.5 years ago, custom colors. They are INCREDIBLY comfortable and we spend hours sitting out there. Friends say the same. Plus, they look - and operate - as good as they did the day they were delivered. The only "maintenance" they require is an occasional cleaning. No rust, no worn parts, no rub marks, nothing. We love them so much we just ordered and had delivered a custom conversation/cocktail table in the same colors. You will pay a bit more for this quality stuff than you would if you were to buy from some big box store, but it's so worth it. We haven't yet bought our last piece from Heirloom Amish Furniture!
Response from the owner:Thank you so much for sharing this! We’re truly grateful you chose Heirloom Amish Furniture for your outdoor space, and it means the world to hear that your rockers are still serving you as comfortably and beautifully as day one. Our builders pour a ton of care into every piece, and reviews like yours remind us why we do what we do. We love that your gazebo has become a spot for long relaxing gatherings with family & friends — that’s exactly what this furniture is made for. And we’re excited that the new custom conversation table ties everything together in your colors. You’ve got an awesome setup going with a beautiful view! Thank you again for trusting us and coming back for more. We’ll be here whenever you’re ready for the next piece! — The Heirloom Amish Furniture Family

An impressive collection of high quality customizable furniture and collectibles. And really delicious pickles. I'd make the trip to Winter Garden for a jar of their pickles again, in a heartbeat. Looking at ordering from custom-made patio furniture as well as home decor.
Response from the owner:Hello Kevin, Thank you so much for the kind words and for taking the time to leave us such a thoughtful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed our selection at Heirloom Amish Furniture, and we love that the pickles made a memorable impression — they're definitely a hidden gem! We’d be thrilled to help you with your custom patio furniture and home decor when you're ready. It truly means a lot to us that you'd make the trip back to Winter Garden just for the pickles. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
Anthony G.
Beautiful patio furniture. Everyone we dealt with was professional, helpful and courteous. Would buy from them again.

The "problem" with Heirloom Amish Furniture is that if you make the "mistake" of entering the store and sitting on ANY piece of furniture (outdoor or indoor) you are going to end up placing an order. We ABSOLUTELY love everything we have purchased -- Dining Room Table and Chairs; Kitchen Island Bar Stools/Chairs; Patio Table and Chairs; Swivel/Glider Chairs; and set of Rockers. Best Decision we made...high quality, great choices, and simply really good guys.
Response from the owner:It was great working with you both, your house is beautiful! Thanks again for your business and thank you for your awesome review.
Keith T.
Frank and John are awesome! We use our gliding, swivel patio chairs every day! This is the most comfortable, well designed and durable furniture known to man! Best decision we’ve ever made! Thanks guys!
Response from the owner:Thank you, we hope you enjoy them!
Nancy B.
Very happy with my front porch furniture Great service. Nice people to do business with.
Obie D.
Love the shops Downtown and this is one we frequent often with the assortment of Amish treats like cheeses, jams, and home/ outdoor decor like lake life signs & puzzle frames but the star of the show for me as a boat house owner is the outdoor patio furniture which feels like it will outlast the home itself! From a sweet robust porch chair to full on pool deck bar, just very impressed. Thanks for being a gem in a treasure trove of great choices on the Main strip! - Obie Diaz (Satisfied Customer)
Response from the owner:Thank you Obie for your continued support and for shopping local with us. We look forward to providing you with the most current information and trends of our outdoor & indoor furniture every time you visit and glad you enjoy our assortment of all natural jams, jellies, pickled veggies, soaps and foods. We appreciate your kind words and cant wait to see you back soon!!!

Comfortable Seating for Slower Moments

Motion Seating For Your Patio & Porch

The right outdoor seat depends on how you prefer to relax and how much room the space provides. Adirondack chairs offer a laid-back stationary position, while rockers provide familiar movement in a compact footprint. Gliders create a smooth, controlled motion, and swings add shared seating that can become a focal point on a porch or in the yard.

Adirondack chairs feature a reclined back, broad armrests, and a relaxed seating position. They work especially well around fire tables, near a pool, along a patio, or facing a garden or scenic view.

Their low seat and angled shape are designed for casual lounging rather than upright dining. Pairing an Adirondack chair with an ottoman or nearby end table can create a more complete relaxation area.

Outdoor rockers provide familiar back-and-forth movement while using less width than most gliders or swings. They are a natural choice for covered porches, patios, and quiet corners intended for reading or conversation.

Allow enough clearance behind and in front of the chair for the rocking motion. Seat height, back angle, and arm placement should also be considered, especially when selecting a chair for frequent use.

Gliders move forward and backward along a controlled mechanism rather than rocking on curved runners. They are available in individual and shared-seat sizes, making them suitable for one person, couples, or small groups.

Because the movement follows a more contained path, gliders can be easier to place near a wall than some traditional rockers. The surrounding area should still remain clear so the chair can move without contacting other furniture.

Outdoor swings create a gentle suspended motion and can provide shared seating for two or more people. They can be installed on a properly supported porch or paired with a freestanding swing frame where overhead mounting is not available.

The swing size, hanging hardware, structural support, and movement clearance must all be considered. A freestanding frame offers more placement flexibility but requires additional yard or patio space.

Find an Outdoor Style That Feels Like Home

Explore Coordinated Outdoor Furniture Collections

Outdoor collections make it easier to coordinate colors, furniture proportions, seating styles, and table heights throughout a porch or patio. Begin with a dining set or conversation group, then add gliders, occasional tables, fire features, or serving pieces as the space allows.

You can create a fully coordinated setting or combine complementary designs for a more relaxed and personal arrangement. The goal is an outdoor space that feels connected while still working naturally for the way your household uses it.

Find the Right Height for Outdoor Dining

Outdoor tables are available in several heights and arrangements, each creating a different dining experience. Standard-height tables provide familiar seating and broad accessibility, while counter- and bar-height tables create a more elevated view.

Dining-Height Tables

Dining-height outdoor tables provide a familiar arrangement that works with standard dining chairs and benches. They are a versatile choice for family meals, entertaining, games, and everyday patio use.

Because the seating height is similar to an indoor dining table, these sets are often comfortable for a wide range of ages.

Counter-Height Tables

Counter-height tables sit above standard dining height but below most bar tables. The raised surface can improve sightlines over porch railings and create a casual setting for drinks, meals, and conversation.

Confirm both the table and seat height before ordering, since standard dining chairs will generally be too low.

Bar-Height Tables

Bar-height tables create an elevated gathering area that works well on decks, patios, and poolside spaces. Their height can preserve a view over railings and make the area feel more like an outdoor bar or entertainment setting.

They are best suited to casual gatherings rather than households that need the accessibility of standard-height dining.

Bring Living Room Comfort Outside

Lounge Seating for Every Outdoor Moment

A well-designed outdoor conversation area often combines several types of seating. Sofas provide room for families and larger groups, while loveseats offer shared comfort in a smaller footprint. Chaise lounges are designed for stretching out, and garden benches provide versatile seating along walkways, porches, or landscaped areas.

Outdoor sofas provide shared seating for several people and can serve as the foundation of a patio or porch conversation area. They work well facing a fire table, coffee table, garden, pool, or scenic view.

Measure the full width and depth before planning the arrangement. Leave enough open space for walkways and for any accompanying coffee tables, end tables, or lounge chairs.

Outdoor loveseats provide comfortable seating for two while occupying less room than a full sofa. They are useful on smaller porches and patios or as part of a larger seating group.

A loveseat can be paired with individual chairs to create a flexible conversation area. Coordinating cushions can add softness and introduce additional color or pattern.

Chaise lounges allow the user to stretch out and recline, making them ideal for poolsides, sunrooms, patios, and private relaxation areas. Many designs offer adjustable back positions for sitting, reading, or lying down.

A chaise uses considerably more depth than a standard chair. Plan enough space for the full length of the furniture as well as a clear walkway around it.

Garden benches add shared seating without requiring a complete outdoor furniture arrangement. They can be placed along a path, beneath a tree, near a garden, on a porch, or against an open patio wall.

Backless designs may feel lighter and provide access from either side, while backed benches offer greater support. Choose a size based on the available width and desired seating capacity.

Complete the Patio with Functional Pieces

The supporting pieces around your seating can make an outdoor area considerably more useful. Fire tables add warmth and atmosphere, while serving islands create space for preparing and presenting food. Occasional tables keep drinks and personal items nearby, and outdoor cabinets or storage pieces help contain supplies between gatherings.

Fire Tables

Fire tables combine a usable tabletop or surrounding ledge with a central flame feature. They can serve as both a visual focal point and a gathering place during cooler evenings.

Placement should follow all manufacturer instructions and applicable clearance requirements.

Outdoor Serving Islands

Outdoor serving islands provide a convenient surface for preparing food, serving drinks, and organizing supplies. Available designs may include drawers, cabinets, shelves, sinks, or seating overhangs.

Measure the available area carefully and preserve comfortable walkways around the island.

Choose the Color, Fabric, and Style You Love

Outdoor furniture should complement the architecture of your home while supporting the activities you enjoy most. A quiet front porch may only need two comfortable chairs and a small table, while a larger patio may require separate spaces for dining, conversation, serving, and relaxing.

Available choices may include poly colors, two-tone combinations, table shapes, table heights, seating sizes, cushion fabrics, umbrellas, and coordinating accessories. Options vary by product and manufacturer, but the Heirloom Amish Furniture team can help you compare the possibilities.

  • Choose your poly colors to coordinate with siding, trim, decking, pavers, or landscaping.
  • Create two-tone combinations to add contrast or connect several colors around your home.
  • Select your seating style based on whether you prefer upright support, reclining comfort, or gentle motion.
  • Match your table height with dining, counter, or bar seating designed for the same level.
  • Plan your seating capacity around everyday use and the number of guests you regularly entertain.
  • Include shade and accessories with umbrellas, planters, seat add-ons, and other practical finishing pieces.

Outdoor Furniture FAQ’s

Outdoor Furniture Questions Answered

Learn more about poly lumber, furniture care, table heights, colors, cushions, and outdoor layouts before choosing outdoor furniture for your home.

Poly outdoor furniture is made from durable synthetic lumber, commonly produced using recycled plastic material. It is designed for outdoor use and does not require the staining, sealing, or refinishing generally associated with natural wood furniture.

Routine cleaning can usually be handled with water, mild soap, and a soft cloth or brush. Follow the furniture manufacturer’s instructions before using stronger cleaners, pressure washers, or abrasive products.

Many outdoor pieces are available in multiple solid colors and two-tone combinations. Color availability varies by manufacturer, collection, and product, so the showroom team can help confirm the choices offered for a particular design.

Dining tables use standard-height seating. Counter tables are taller and require matching counter-height chairs, while bar tables use the tallest seating. Chairs and tables should be selected at matching heights rather than mixed between categories.

A rocker moves on curved runners and is generally designed for one person. A glider follows a controlled forward-and-back path and may seat one or several people. A swing is suspended from a structure or frame and requires additional support and movement clearance.

Outdoor cushions may resist moisture and fading, but care instructions vary by fabric and manufacturer. Storing cushions in a dry, protected location during severe weather or long periods of nonuse can help keep them cleaner and extend their useful life.
